AKaiser is the Pushcart Prize-nominated poet and 2022 NEA Fellowship-awarded translator of Catalan, French, and Spanish. She holds a doctorate in Translation & Intercultural Studies, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, an MFA in poetry with Carlow University: Pittsburgh / Dublin, and a BA in Political Science, minor in French, from the University of Pennsylvania. Political and teaching work includes with UNESCO, UN-NYC, Spanish Mission to the UN and in Europe and Latin America. Her translations of critically and publicly-acclaimed Catalan poet Anna Gual’s work, Unnameable, will be the first book of Gual’s work in English (Zephyr Press, 2025).
